An SEO Specialist’s main goal is to improve the performance of the company’s content by driving more traffic to their website and improving their position ranking on search engines. They analyze and review website traffic, make reports on them, suggest changes that could improve their ranking, and propose better content strategies. 


SEO Specialists are also responsible for tracking relevant keywords and inserting them into the company web pages. This process helps the search engine find the website better for ranking it higher in the search results. 


Job Brief


Our company is on the lookout for an SEO/SEM Specialist to join our marketing team. You will be responsible for managing our search engine optimization strategy and marketing techniques. You will be held accountable for our website’s ranking on the major search engines. You will also run SEM campaigns on Google, Bind, and Yahoo for maximizing our ROI. 


Duties and responsibilities

  • Develop search engine optimization techniques to increase the company’s website ranking in search engines
  • Provide keywords to the marketing to create more content on 
  • Track regular performance metrics of the website and the various sections 
  • Align goals with the various marketing professionals
  • Write meta descriptions, meta tags, page titles while optimizing them for SEO
  • Create regular reports on the performance of the various sections of the website
  • Use tools like SEMrush and Google Analytics to track the performance metrics
  • Analyze website traffic and audiences
  • Set target audience while running paid campaigns
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends on SEO


Key requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in SEO or a similar role
  • Proficient with SEO tools like SEMrush and Google Analytics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent report making skills
  • In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms 
  • SEO Certification preferred
  • Experience in using WordPress
