Creative leads are the ones who lead a team at advertising agencies or in-house for the marketing department of a company. They work with the creative team in order to create, plan and deliver a strategic vision for the clients.  


What does a creative lead do?


A creative lead leads the overall design process which includes the initial requirements definition and conceptualization as well as the entire development. He or she will also contribute to the evolution and improvement of the existing design process. The creative lead will also need to collaborate with the internal teams in order to develop a creative strategy.   • Build lead and review the work of the creative team in the production of all web, digital marketing, and printing collateral
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales departments in developing the marketing plans, analyzing results, and identification of opportunities
  • Analyze the brand tracking, marketing trends, consumer needs, and the competitive landscape
  • Meeting budget standards by forecasting and managing expenses


Key requirements


The key requirements of a creative lead can be provided as follows:

  • Experience as a creative lead in an agency or a corporate setting
  • Understanding and past experiences which include content from marketing channels social media mobile and also offline and print
  • Strong creative vision with an understanding of business objectives
  • Master’s degree in marketing or business
